Born in Brooklyn, NY on Jan. 7, 1917. Hackett came to the San Francisco Bay area as an infant. He was raised in Berkeley, Antioch, and Palo Alto and attended the public schools there. Having opted for an art career, he studied at the CSFA in 1936-39. He then spent a few years painting in the Mother Lode country and working for the U.S. Forest Service in the state of Washington.
 
From 1944-46 he ran the art gallery at the SFMA. Following his marriage to artist Beverly Leslie, he settled in Nevada City, CA. He was active there as an artist until his demise on Feb. 4, 1989. His work includes scenes of the Mother Lode country, Mendocino coast, and the San Francisco Bay area. Exh: Univ. of Hawaii, 1939 (solo); Art Center School

    We do not issue partial refunds for any reason. This is due to high levels of fraud pertaining to the request for a partial refund. In some cases you may be asked to return the item prior to us issuing a refund for damage.
